Portfolio - Print - Wine Labels

I love designing wine labels for many reasons but mostly because I really appreciate wine. Having grown up with a winemaker for a father gave me a great pallet from an early age. We won't say how early but I've had a favorite varietal for 20 years.

Under the Kaz Vineyard & Winery brand I have made over 3 dozen different labels. Add that to 6 other brand with 1 to 10 labels each and you get... a lot! Each of the labels on this page are made by myself in entirety except for the photography since they are vintage(I do find most of them myself though). Even the logos and most of the back label text are my doing.

This one got in a packaging magazine! Not too shabby.

My favorite label to date. This one came with a long list of wants which I paired down and delivered on. The winemaker wanted it to be bold, eye catching, include a monkey, have an etched art look and a general style that wasn't snooty as he was looking to market to "non-wine-snobs".

Yeah, that's my dad. His secondary wine labels under Copper Leaf Cellars are meant to be a clash on snooty and total humor. Check out the fanciful name of the wine. That's not french!

Yes... My father again. His ports didn't look so Kazzy on the front so I started putting him on the back.

Madeline is my baby girl. Dad and I made this in her honor.

One of the best Petit Sirahs ever!

Did I mention that I name these things most of the time? I even write the back label content from my own barrel sample tasting notes and or from my grape research. I know more about grape origins than most winemakers I know.

Might as well have a close-up of my favorite labels.

This one is called "Fly Guys".

"Sara Nader" - get it? The artwork is done at 600 dpi.

WWW wanted to go real Western with their branding. It may be borderlined on BBQ sauce packaging but that is what ya get.

I named these too!
